LPG Endermologie cellulite treatment at Bayside Endermologie Beaumaris

Let me be honest with you, because I think you deserve that before you spend money on anything.

Cellulite is genuinely hard to address. I’ve been working in non-invasive aesthetics for years, and I’ve seen clients spend thousands on creams, coffee scrubs, and dry brushing — sometimes getting modest improvement, often not. So when I tell you that LPG Endermologie is the treatment I use most consistently for cellulite at Bayside Endermologie, I’m not saying it casually.

It works. But how well, how fast, and for whom — that’s worth understanding before you book.

What actually causes cellulite

Cellulite is a structural issue beneath the skin, not a fat problem. The fat cells themselves are normal. The issue is that fibrous connective tissue bands (called septae) tether your skin down to deeper layers of tissue. When fat cells push upward and those bands pull downward, you get the dimpled, uneven texture that appears on thighs, buttocks, and sometimes the abdomen.

This is why cellulite affects around 80–90% of people with female physiology at some point in their lives — regardless of weight, fitness level, or diet. It can appear in men and people of any gender too, though less commonly due to differences in connective tissue structure and hormone profiles. Genetics plays a significant role. Hormones matter too. Weight loss helps some people and makes it more visible in others.

Any treatment that only targets surface fat will not touch the underlying architecture. That’s the problem with most topical products. They can temporarily improve skin hydration and texture, but they can’t reach the septae.

How LPG Endermologie targets cellulite mechanically

LPG Endermologie uses a mechanical massage device with motorised rollers and suction. You wear a thin bodysuit during treatment, and the handpiece moves over your skin in slow, deliberate patterns.

The suction lifts the skin folds while the rollers massage deeply into the tissue beneath. This combination does a few things that matter for cellulite specifically:

Stimulates fibroblast activity. Fibroblasts are the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin. Regular mechanical stimulation may prompt them to produce more, which gradually improves skin firmness and texture over a course of sessions.

Promotes lymphatic drainage. The technique mobilises fluid from congested areas, reducing the puffiness that can worsen the appearance of cellulite, particularly around the thighs and hips.

Improves microcirculation. Poor circulation in fatty tissue is a known contributor to cellulite formation. Endermologie increases blood flow to these areas, which supports the natural removal of metabolic waste and can soften the hardened connective tissue over time.

To be clear: LPG Endermologie does not dissolve fat cells. It is not a weight loss treatment. What it does is work on the connective tissue and circulatory environment that makes cellulite visible — and that’s a meaningful distinction.

That’s the mechanism. Here’s what it actually feels like in practice: the tissue gradually becomes less congested, skin starts feeling firmer to the touch, and the texture you’ve been staring at in the mirror begins to smooth.

What the research says (and what I observe in clinic)

Published research on LPG Endermologie has been broadly positive, though the body of evidence is not as large as for some medical procedures. Clinical studies have reported improvements in skin firmness, circumferential measurements, and cellulite grade after a course of sessions — with results generally assessed using standardised photographic and tactile evaluation.

In my experience at Bayside Endermologie, clients typically notice visible softening of the dimpled texture and improved skin tone. I say “typically” because this is not uniform. Clients who come in consistently, drink adequate water, and are close to a stable weight tend to see the clearest results. Clients who have very deep, grade 3 cellulite with significant skin laxity see improvement, but it requires more sessions and realistic expectations about the degree of change.

I won’t tell you Endermologie erases cellulite completely. No treatment does that reliably. What I can tell you is that after a proper course of sessions, most clients feel significantly better in their skin — and that the change is visible to them.

Realistic expectations: timeline and sessions

Most clients see meaningful change after 6 to 10 sessions. The protocol I generally follow at Bayside Endermologie is two sessions per week for the first month, then weekly or fortnightly maintenance.

Each session runs 50 minutes. There is no downtime — you can return to normal activity immediately. Some clients notice mild redness or warmth in the treated area for an hour or two afterward. That’s normal and settles quickly.

Here’s the part that matters for long-term results: Endermologie is not a one-and-done treatment. The connective tissue improvements are cumulative, and without maintenance sessions — typically once a month — the results fade over time. Clients who maintain consistently hold their results well. Clients who stop completely often notice gradual regression within a few months.

Think of it less like a procedure and more like a structured skin health programme. The upfront investment in sessions is what creates the change; maintenance is what keeps it.

Who gets the best results

Endermologie works best for clients who:

  • Are already close to their stable, comfortable weight (not actively in a significant weight loss phase)
  • Have grade 1 or grade 2 cellulite (moderate dimpling, skin still has reasonable elasticity)
  • Can commit to an initial course of sessions rather than one or two treatments
  • Are well hydrated and reasonably active

It can still be beneficial for clients with grade 3 cellulite or significant skin laxity, but the timeline is longer and the degree of visible change may be more modest. Every body has its own rhythm, and what shifts quickly for one person takes longer for another. I always do a consultation first — the approach I put together is individually tailored, not standard. I want to understand your skin, your goals, and your history before we start, so I’m not setting you up with expectations that don’t match your situation.

Endermologie is not a treatment for obesity or significant weight loss goals. It works within the range of what is structurally possible for your skin and connective tissue.

Frequently asked questions

Is LPG Endermologie painful?

No. Most clients describe it as feeling like a firm, deep massage — some find it quite pleasant. Bony areas (like the knees or hips) can feel more intense, and I adjust the pressure based on your feedback throughout each session.

How many sessions before I see a result?

Most clients notice something — even subtly — by sessions 3 to 4. Clear, visible change that you’d point to in photos generally appears after sessions 6 to 8. I tell clients not to compare week-by-week, but to look at photos from session 1 versus session 8.

Does Medicare cover LPG Endermologie?

No. Endermologie is a cosmetic treatment and is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance in Australia. All pricing is out-of-pocket. You can see our current fees on the pricing page.

Can I combine Endermologie with other treatments?

Yes, and I often recommend it. At Bayside Endermologie, many clients combine LPG Endermologie with TESLAFormer (for muscle toning) or our infrared sauna sessions. These work well together because they target different aspects of body composition and skin health. I’ll always discuss what makes sense for your specific goals during your consultation.

Ready to find out if it’s right for you?

The most useful thing I can do is talk to you properly and look at what you’re working with. I offer a free 15-minute conversation at the Beaumaris clinic — no treatment plan, no pressure, just an honest conversation about what you’re trying to achieve. You ask everything you want to know. I give you an honest picture of what’s realistic for your skin.

There’s no obligation. If Endermologie isn’t the right fit, I’ll tell you — and point you toward what might be.
